Cotswolds - 13th - 14th April

Sarah and I spent the weekend of the 13th April at our cottage in Cowley in the Cotswolds. It was mainly a family based weekend but I ran the moth-trap on the Friday and Saturday night and while it was a little chilly (7c) I caught a few early spring species:

Brindled Beauty

Twin-spotted Quaker

Powdered Quaker

March Moth

White-marked

Red-green Carpet

Mottled Grey

In addition to these species I also recorded;

Cotswolds Moth Trapping - 21st-23rd April

A weekend at our cottage in Cowley in the Cotswolds allowed me a few nights of early spring moth trapping. Species recorded over the nights of 21st, 22nd and 23rd April were:

Hebrew Character - The left hand individual has a reduced black forewing mark
